Newly renovated, our apartment has all the mod-cons and is a warm and cozy place to relax after a day on the mountains.
Living room
Relax on the couch, put a log in the stove and sit back and watch some TV. Stream your own content or watch a classic movie.
Kitchen
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you'd expect plus a bread maker, slow-cooker and mixer.
Bedrooms
There's a kingsize bed, 2 single beds and a big pull-out couch bed. Bed linen included.
Bathroom
Separate shower, toilet and basin. Towels are provided.
Our apartment is located in the small, and relatively undiscovered, village of Podbrdo. Located on the edge of Triglav National Park. This makes it a great location for beautiful hikes, without the crowds. Trains leave from the village and connect with the popular destinations of Bohinj and Lake Bled.
The apartment is situated in a former bakery. The name Stara Pekarna is Slovene for old bakery. It is nestled in the oldest house in the village, around 100 years old. It was newly renovated in 2020 and this is the first time it is being rented out. The apartment has modern and antique furniture to match comfort with a little nostalgia.

Living room
The living room is a lovely place to relax or have fun with family & friends.
There's a nice big couch to chill out on. You can:
- watch your own films & TV from using the provided Chromecast attached to the TV. Or you
- Watch Slovene cable TV which has a number of English speaking channels
- Watch some classic DVD movies provided, like Lord of the Rings, Goodfellas,
If you're after a bit of fun there's plenty of games including a Wii, drawing equipment, books etc
For those chillier nights or to add some coziness there's a wood burning stove. Wood is provided.
